What is stain protection treatment?

Our carpet and upholstery protective treatment service helps protect fabrics from future water-based and food staining by applying a special resistant treatment that holds water-based spills on the surface and prohibits them from soaking into the fabric.

It is suitable for all types and colours of fabric, is non-toxic and water-based, lasts for up to 2 years, and does not change the look or feel of the fabric.

How does stain protection work?

The protective treatment is only offered as an add-on service in conjunction with extraction cleaning as the fabric must be clean prior to application.

The treatment is applied as a spray and application is assisted with a cloth or brush (depending on the type of fabric) to ensure fibres are fully-coated. High-use areas are identified and treated first and are then retreated with the rest of the fabric to ensure these crucial areas have extra protection.

The treatment takes up to 24 hours to fully dry and to gain it’s stain-repellent ability so it is best to avoid using treated items in the meantime.
